Reducing Our Energy Footprint

We aim to significantly reduce our energy consumption through:

Solar Energy

Our rooftop is covered with a 300KW solar panel system using advanced TOPCON technology. This generates 45,000 KWh of clean electricity per month, meeting over 20% of our energy needs.

Energy Efficient Lighting

We have installed 400 energy-saving LED lights which consume 40% less electricity and last 6 times longer than conventional lighting. Our LED streetlights save 50% over traditional bulbs. This initiative reduces our lighting power consumption by over 29,000 KWh annually.

Efficient Motors

We utilize BLDC fans that operate without brushes, making them more efficient, silent and durable than regular fans. Replacing old 70W fans with new BLDC fans saves us 3,600 KWh monthly.

Smart Glass

Our specialized Saint Gobain reflective glass optimizes natural light while reducing heat gain by 70% compared to clear glass. This cuts our air-conditioning load substantially, saving around 9,000 KWh per month.

Water Conservation Efforts

Rainwater Harvesting

Our 7,000 sq mtr rooftop harvesting system collects 60 lakh liters of rainwater annually. This is used to recharge groundwater and fulfill various industrial utility needs.

Sewage Treatment

Our upcoming in-house STP will treat 50,000 liters of wastewater daily through a series of purification processes. The recycled water will be utilized for gardening and utilities.

Waste Management and Recycling

We follow strict waste segregation which enables significant recycling and reuse:

  • All leather, rubber, PU trim and textile waste is segregated at source and recycled back into shoe production. This avoids thousands of kg in CO2 emissions annually.
  • Our bonded foam made from scrap linings can substitute virgin EVA, reducing carbon footprint by over 40,000 kg per year.
  • Overall, our recycling initiatives create zero-waste closed-loop material flows, aligning with the principles of circular economy.

Optimizing Transportation for Lower Emissions

  • Employee carpooling program avoided 45,000 kg of CO2 emissions in 2020 by reducing vehicles entering our premises.
  • Route optimization, procuring locally and incentives for full truck loads helped cut incoming and outgoing trips by 50%. This initiative resulted in an annual CO2 emission reduction of 2.7 lakh kg.

  • We utilize green materials like eco-friendly AZO-free leather and bio-based chemicals in our products.
  • Our manufacturing processes are engineered to minimize carbon footprint while delivering world-class quality and safety.
